Lamar started in the engineering industry as an electrical engineer trainee with the U.S. Army Corp Engineers 1992.  He also served as an engineer officer for the U. S. Army.  Upon leaving active duty after 4 years of service, he started in the railroad industry with CSX Transportation as General Supervisor of Signal Construction.  Lamar worked seven years at CSX Transportation as a field supervisor/engineer for numerous construction projects.  After serving as a project manager and signal designer for Southwest Signal Engineering, Lamar became a co-founder of GTABS Incorporated.
