Preliminary Engineering
GTABS’ skilled professionals provide initial project consultation, crossing and wayside signal design, detailed site surveys and extensive cost analysis to our customers which assists in determining and accomplishing their needs and expectations.
Project Management
Our project management teams are headed by experienced, certified project management professionals (PMPs). These project managers are seasoned and can manage rail and signal engineering projects from conception until the project is placed in service. We provide technical input and coordinate with various teams throughout the life of the projects. Our project managers are also intricately involved in the design, estimating, compiling bill of material, scheduling, construction, and in-service testing of projects. We strive to ensure that customer needs are exceeded and quality solutions are provided. Our pool of experience within the railroad industry enables us to provide technically sound, cost effective, and user-friendly solutions to our customers.
Construction Management
GTABS provides a wide range of construction management services through a staff with numerous years of training and experience as construction supervisors, managers and engineers for class 1 railroad companies. With this experience, we provide initial engineering budgeting, design and plans review, quality assurance, on-site supervision and quality control for all phases of rail and signal engineering. We are also able to provide technical assistance during installation and FRA required in-service testing and documentation
Support Services
GTABS provides many additional support services. Our electrical engineers have experience in electrical distribution and we are able to conduct power surveys, obtain electrical/power permits and coordinate installation of power services with local companies. We will also provide initial site surveys used for preliminary engineering and design. With experience in signal construction and maintenance, our surveyors provide detailed, technical surveys. Additionally, GTABS is able to supply in-service testing for crossing and wayside signal projects. We conduct all required FRA tests and inspection while competing and providing necessary documentation for the required test. Our staff is also equipped with design engineers and CADD operators to generate and update necessary plans for various projects.
Consulting Services
GTABS offers a number of consulting services to railroad companies as well as municipal, state, and federal transportation agencies. Our engineers have experience in performing crossing diagnostic reviews for various state departments of transportation. Also, our signal engineers are able to provide technical assistance in support of state-funded and mandated DOT projects. We are able to review plans submitted by railroad companies to determine the technical soundness and feasibility of the design. We also perform numerous types of rail studies and provide extensive data collection to assist in volume and development planning.
